Loft joins Rapids

The French River Rapids Jr A Hockey Club is excited to announce the signing of Connor Loft.

Connor comes to the Rapids from the GTHL Mississauga Reps Midget AAA program where he was captain of his team. He also played 23 games in the past two seasons with the Mississauga Chargers of the OJHL.

“Connor will be a big presence on the blue line at 6’ 2” and 200 lbs. who also has a pro caliber shot” announced Head Coach Ken Strong, “He is expected to be a big part of our hockey Club”.

“Connor was sought after by many Jr A teams and I’m extremely happy that we could add a player of Connor’s skill to our roster”

Connor recently won the hardest shot in the Leo Boivin AAA Midget hockey tournament this past March with the speed of 93MPH.

“I have watched Connor for several years”, stated Rapids Director of Hockey Operations Sherry Bassin, “I am very impressed with his hockey smarts and on ice leadership. He is an intelligent hockey player who will help lead our team next year”.

“I’m excited to be playing for the Rapids this season,” stated Loft, “I have visited the French River a couple of times prior to signing and it’s a great community with passionate fans which helped me make my decision to play there. I am also very excited to be playing for Ken Strong and Sherry Bassin who have won at every level they were part of”.

This signing is another important part of the Rise of the Rapids.
