The French River Rapids Jr A Hockey Club is proud to announce the signing of Spencer Dupuis and Chad Lafortune.
Spencer Dupuis joins our team after a successful year as the Captain of the AAA New Liskeard Cubs.
As well as being a shutdown defenceman with the Cubs, Spencer also played 15 games with the Rapids as an AP and became an important part of our defensive core.
“Spencer really impressed me in the last 5 games of the season” stated Head Coach Ken Strong, “and I look forward to him becoming a great D for the Rapids.”
We are also pleased to announce that Chad Lafortune formerly of the West Nipissing Lynx Junior A has signed with the team.
“Chad came to the Rapids spring camp in Sudbury and really impressed our staff, as he is a very strong competitor with an edge” stated Sherry Bassin, we look forward to Chad becoming an inspiration for the young hockey players of the community, as he is from French River”
The Rapids staff believe these two young players will play important roles in the team’s future.
