SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Saturday’s Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League game between the Soo Eagles and French River Rapids at Pullar Stadium has been suspended due to excessive condensation issues on the ice surface.

A blanket of fog was present from the onset, and after an earlier delay, the issue did not dissipate, thus resulting in the officials calling off the match-up, deeming the rest of the affair to be unplayable, due to safety concerns.

At the time of the game suspension, the Eagles held a 1-0 lead with seven minutes and 50 seconds having been played in the first period on a Jack Mortson marker.

A date for the resumption and completion of the contest will be released by the NOJHL once it is finalized.
