Iroquois Falls holds off French River with 5-2 victory

IROQUOIS FALLS, Ont. – The Iroquois Falls Eskis used a well-balanced attack getting goals from five different skaters as they went on to defeat the French River Rapids 5-2 Sunday in Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League play at Jus Jordan Arena.

It was all Eskis in the opening 20 minutes as they charged out to a quick 3-0 lead.

It was more Goettlicher later in the period as he picked up his second of game and fourth overall at 15:56 to pull the guests to within one entering the third.
