Bowman joins the Rapids

The French River Rapids are proud to announce the signing of Cooper Bowman.

Cooper recently played for the OMHA Champion Whitby Wildcats Midget AAA. He played an important role in the teams’ successful year.

“Cooper came to our camp with the goal of making the Rapids and impressed me from the first time I saw him on the ice” stated Head Coach Shawn Frappier.  “I’m very happy that we could add Cooper to our roster.”

“I watched Cooper during the OMHA’s in Whitby and he caught my eye with his aggressive play”, stated Rapids President Paul Frustaglio, “He plays hard and never gives up. He is also very deceptive with the puck and has great vision of the ice. Cooper is an excellent addition to our hockey club and will make a difference for us.”

I’m excited to join such a great young organization and take the next big step in my development. I’m proud to be part of the French River Rapids family. This opportunity will allow me to further my development and be a part of the teams’ future success. I would like to thank the management and coaching staff for selecting me to join the team. I am also excited to play in front of the great fans of the French River. Many of my new teammates have told me it’s a great place to play!”

“Paul Frustaglio and I watched Whitby play several times during the OMHA’s” stated Rapids Director of Hockey Operations Sherry Bassin, “I really liked Cooper’s puck pursuit and ability to get out of tight spots with the puck. He will play an important role with our hockey club.”
